The Chamonix Mont-Blanc ski area stretches over three main mountain sides.

Brévent – Flégère

The Brévent-Flégère ski area, opposite the Mont Blanc range, combines altitude, quality of snow and quantity of sunlight. In the middle of winter, the slopes are very popular as they face southwards. A truly wonderful setting and slopes that satisfy the most demanding skiers.

Les Grands Montets

The most legendary ski area. Spread out over three mountain sides, it provides the choice of a large number of pistes and outstanding off-piste opportunities. Whether you’re skiing or snowboarding, you’ll be close to a glacier and can take advantage of an outstanding level of snow until May. Ideal for freestyle skiing lovers with a new snowpark and a boardercross open in the Lognan ski area.

Domaine de la Balme

Located in an area of high-mountain pastures, the Domaine de Balme provides a variety of skiing experiences on two very different mountain sides. Enjoy the wide slopes in a highly-relaxed manner opposite Chamonix Valley and routes through the fir trees right up to the Swiss border.

La Vallée Blanche

La Vallée Blanche, the most famous off-piste skiing site, can be accessed by using the Aiguille du Midi cable car. This glacier off-piste skiing area is especially popular at the beginning of spring. However, it nonetheless remains a high mountain area without any waymarking, and no safety or monitoring arrangements exist. Going with a guide is strongly recommended for your safety.
